Enrolling at our school
Thank you for expressing interest in enrolling at Ripley Central State School. We are currently accepting in catchment enrolments for Prep to Year 6 for 2024 and 2025. There are a number of steps for families to complete. Please follow this step-by-step guide to assist you in this process.
Step 1 – Check your eligibility to enrol at our school
Check your residential address is in our catchment. You can use the Ed Map website to check your residential address. Sometimes new streets do not appear, so use the Ed Map boundary for our school alongside google maps to review your address manually.
If you are in-catchment, please proceed to Step 2. If not, please refer to the 'Out of catchment enrolment' section of this page. Alternatively, visit the website of the state school where your address is in catchment and follow their enrolment process.
Step 2 – My address is in catchment and I am learning more about Ripley Central State School
Familiarise yourself with our school, what we have to offer your child and our school values. You can do this by exploring our website, newsletters and Facebook page. In our 'Enrolment Agreement' you are asked to sign to show you support our school, our procedures and processes. Please read and familiarise yourself with the following documents in the related links.

- Information on our website about camps and excursions, class times and before/after school routines and absences

Step 3 – Enrolment application and supporting documentation
Please download and complete (digitally preferred) our enrolment application. Paper copies of our enrolment form can be collected form our administration if needed.
If you don't have a digital signature you can sign in person in the later steps.
- Please complete an enrolment application for each child (please see related links)
- Email the completed form to enrolments@ripleycentralss.eq.edu.au with the attached documents that support:
- your proof of residency (one primary and one secondary source)
- medical or health plans
- custody or court orders
- details about out of home care.
Please do not attach your child's birth certificate as this must be sighted in person.
Proof of Residency - One primary source – a current rental/lease agreement, or rates notice, or unconditional contract of sale; and
- One secondary source – a utility bill (e.g. electricity, gas) showing this same address and parent's/legal guardian's name.

If you are unable to complete this step digitally or have difficulty sourcing the proof of residency documents, please email our enrolment officer at enrolments@ripleycentralss.eq.edu.au
Step 4 – Application received by administration ready for next steps
One of our administration team will contact you via email or phone to arrange next steps. Some, or all, of these may apply to you.
- signing of printed paperwork (if applicable)
- sighting of birth certificate (if applicable - Prep student or new to Queensland State Schools)
- sight current proof of residency at the address indicated (if not provided in Step 3)
If this step is required to be done in person, this will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.
What next?
After completing these 4 steps your child's enrolment is complete and your start date will be confirmed We will provide you with confirmation of your child's enrolment and provide details of their House team and uniform purchasing. Please stay connected with us by regularly checking our school website, our Facebook page and newsletters. We may also contact you via email (check your junk/spam regularly).

Out of Catchment Enrolment Information
We are not currently accepting out of catchment applications. Our school is being built in stages, and as we are in a rapidly growing area, we need to ensure we have capacity to meet the needs of our growing school community for families living within catchment.
