Our school will offer many extra-curricular activities for our students to participate in. We understand that experiences and opportunities within, and outside the classroom are what helps to build a dynamic school culture. We are already planning a range of clubs, teams and events that our students will be invited to join or participate in. Our staff have identified some of their passions, interests and skills that we may be able to offer, however, we also acknowledge that further learning and training on our behalf may be needed to provide further opportunities for our students' passions and interests. Some of our future extra-curricular opportunities are unpacked below:

EPIC Air

Our school radio and pod casting station, ‘EPIC Air’, will be a lunchtime broadcasting station that entertains our school as we play. Initially planning for one day per week where our broadcasters select, mix and play music during play times. Our EPIC Air room will officially go live in Term 2, with some prior training and student selection occurring in Term 1.

Koala Kitchen

‘Koala Kitchen’ will open in Term 2 and will house our own Master Chef kitchen and Bake House for the production of our specially branded sugar cookies and cooking classes. We will work with our student bakers to create a small business model to bake and sell sugar cookies, with a special option to purchase a class set of sugar cookies for your child’s class birthday celebrations. We will also look for opportunities for our little Master Chefs to have cooking classes alongside chefs and produce their own cooking vlogs with recipe ideas.

Readers Cup

Readers Cup’ is a competition-based program for Year 4 & 5 students and will commence in Term 2 with the competition date in Term 3. Initially this will be a school-based competition, with plans to enter future teams into regional competitions.

Rock Band

Our ‘Rock Band’ will have opportunities for selected Preps and Year 4-6 students. This is an extension to our Instrumental Music Program and is offered separately. Our Rock Band aims to be performance ready for the end of 2023 and we look forward to their first ‘live’ performance. Instruments included in our Rock Band are the bass guitar, electric guitar, drums, keyboard and will include vocalists.

eSports

Our 'eSports Team' will be set to take on other students across the South East in the Fuse Cup using our Nintendo Switch devices. We look forward to also hosting staff v's student competitions in Just Dance and Rocket League.

Japanese Culture and Language

Our 'Japanese Culture and Language' club will be an opportunity for those interested in learning more about Japanese language and culture and who may be considering studying Japanese as a language as they transition to high school.

Passion Project Club

The 'Passion Project Club' will be offered as an extension of our Homework Policy and an opportunity for students to work at school, once per week, on their Passion Project with the support of staff.

Dance Crew

Cheer Crew

Our Cheer Crew is made up of students from Years 2 to 6. Each year, we invite enthusiastic individuals who have a passion for dance, acrobatics, and teamwork to express their interest in joining this dynamic team. The main purpose of our Cheer Crew is to foster school spirit, encourage positive engagement, and promote healthy physical activity within our school community. In addition, Cheer Crew members develop crucial life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and self-confidence. Our Cheer Crew is more than just a dance group; it's a platform for students to express themselves, inspire others, and most importantly, have fun while doing it.

Stay tuned

Stay tuned for more updates on our extra-curricular opportunities for our students as we build an EPIC learning environment where students are Empowered, Polite, Inclusive and Careful.
